Information for future students
We are looking for postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. students who are motivated to do research in machine learning, data mining, and imaging informatics. UTA master’s students looking for thesis topics and UTA undergraduates looking for internships are welcome to contact Dr. Junzhou Huang.
For researchers with a Ph.D. in computer science or a related field who want to lead ambitious work in machine learning and bioinformatics.
For applicants with strong foundations in computing, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or another closely related discipline.
UTA master’s students can explore thesis topics connected to the lab’s active research directions.
UTA undergraduates seeking research experience or internships are encouraged to make contact.
How to apply
Introduce yourself clearly, explain the connection to SMILE’s work, and include the materials relevant to your stage.
Identify one or two SMILE research areas that genuinely match your interests.
Include your CV, academic record, and strongest publication or project if applicable. Graduate applicants should include GPA, test scores when relevant, and class rank if available.
Describe your background, research interests, intended program or position, and why SMILE is a fit.
